The picture above shows a standard stock factory shifter assembly installed on the frame. Not too much to these units so no installation instructions are really needed but most makers supply an exploded parts diagram which might be helpful.
Custom made controls mount and function almost identically but look prettier and cost a lot more. I’ve only got two of the mounting bolts in the backing plate because this was a quick setup just for the Pic. My grandmother would destroy these flimsy little rods and clevis connectors in about five minutes speed shifting on her way to the Bingo parlor. We’ll be changing these out once we get to the next phase of work.
